Public holidays in Tasmania
This page always answers for today in Tasmania. When TAS has a gazetted public holiday the verdict turns to “Yes” with the holiday's name; on any other day it's “No”, followed by a live countdown to the next one.
Whether a day is a public holiday in TAS is set by TAS legislation, which is why the answer can differ from the state next door. Substitute days — when a holiday lands on a weekend — are counted and labelled here too.
